K-Set Archive is a collection of independent self-published media, going on since 2004. We are collecting self-made publications, which have been produced outside of a commercial, professional or academic context – initiated, produced, and distributed by the publishers themselves. The collection includes over 10’000 objects: DIY published fanzines, newspapers, magazines, audio-tapes, posters, flyers, CD’s, stickers, books, video-tapes, DVD’s, and more, from the 1960’s onwards.
K-Set is open to the public. All material can be scanned and photographed on site. We are currently working on a new online-database.
K-Set is run by a small group of volunteers, is non-professional and not funded by any institutions.
Did you yourself or collectively publish a zine, release music, or did you print a poster? Do you have an old box with collected flyers, magazines or tapes? Bring your stuff, send your material, or contact us and we will organise the pick up.
The collection depends mainly on donations. You are always welcome to drop by.
